Fill Your Bookshelf With Phil
Phil has been busy finding a book to review for Fill Your Bookshelf and the TPet Book Club, and this time he has settled on ‘Slow Down’ by Rachel Williams. Phil says – ‘Slow down by Rachel Williams is a beautifully written and illustrated book which would take pride of place in any classroom. It encourages you to slow down and pay attention to the beauty of nature around you.
The book explains 50 different natural events with beautiful language and stunning illustrations. It’s non-fiction, but with the warm and cosy feeling of a great fiction book.
A page from this book would make a perfect model text to inspire children to write their own non-fiction text about an animal or natural event. Fantastic to read to KS1 or allow KS2 to read themselves.’
