Introducing the TPET Home Learning Hub!
Well, here we are again! Everyone at TPET HQ was half expecting the unfortunate news that a new set of school closures was on the horizon and sadly it came true. As soon as we found out the news, we gathered together straight away to discuss what we could do to help.
Reflecting back, our FREE home learning resources were incredibly popular during the school closure months last year and we had amazing feedback, plus some very insightful suggestions regarding what we could do to make them even more accessible for both teachers and parents. We used this feedback as a key part in the planning for our response and we are extremely proud to now offer you access to our new FREE home learning hub!
What is the Home Learning hub all about?
Our FREE home learning hub has been created with your user-experience in mind. We wanted it to be as easy as possible for you to follow, plan and download a large range of primary school resources which you could use with your class or if you are a parent, in the home either on a laptop or mobile device.
Starting Monday 11th January, our team of teachers have created a suggested timetable for you to follow with your class or at home. This will be updated on a weekly basis and we are aiming to have all weeks available to view as soon as possible so that you can plan anything you need in advance.
Included within each timetable is a list of suggested activities – all of which, if they require resources, will be available to download from the HUB in a complete, organised folder so that you know what you need to use and exactly when. In addition to this, extra ideas, suggested videos, books and more, will also be available on the timetable with links. Everything will be super easy to share with your class via zoom, DoJo apps or other services.
No matter what key stage or age group your children are in, we are here to support you and there will be a constant stream of FREE content available for EYFS, KS1, lower KS2 and upper KS2 pupils.
Start your morning the right way.
At the top of each timetable, you will see daily starter activities which focus on wellbeing, fitness and a key area such as Phonics. These make fantastic warm up exercises which parents can complete with their child each day to encourage learning and a positive mindset. These will be updated EVERY weekday – so make sure you bookmark the hub and continue to check back, even if it is just on your phone.
For teachers, these starter activities can be presented via zoom or other services and are also a great way to engage with your learners before you start your session.
Support, Support and more Support!
We all have a part to play in helping each other during the pandemic and we want to do everything we can to assist with this. If you feel lost, confused or even alone – don’t worry, YOU ARE NOT ALONE! We are all here to support each other which is why we have set up a HOME LEARNING SUPPORT GROUP which is available on our Facebook platform.
We encourage you to come and join the conversation, we won’t bite! Our team will be available daily if you have a quick question about one of the resources or if you just need a quick natter in between zoom calls about life – we know how tough it is and hopefully it will become a place for you to connect with others in the same situation.
You can do it.
Hopefully we are nearing the end of uncertain times and this is the last hurdle we need to get through – but no matter what happens, we will be here to support you and we hope you find our free home learning hub useful in helping you get through the weeks and months ahead.
Thank you for reading!
