Key Influential People – Chadwick Boseman

We’ve got some great project packs based on key influential people available on our website and we are adding more and more all the time – the latest one is based on the outstanding actor, Chadwick Boseman. You may know Chadwick most famously from his role as Black Panther in the film of the same name and playing the same character in the Avengers films.

Walk to School Month

Is your school taking part in #WalktoSchoolMonth this October?

We’ve got some great resources, some which are free to download, to help you out. A popular download are the road safety quiz cards.

You could play match the cards, use them to test your class each morning or simply pop them in a provision area for children to interact with.

They all feature top road safety help and tips – very important during the walk to school!

Fill Your Bookshelf

This week Phil has decided to review Beyond The Sky by Dara Ó Briain. The book is all about the universe! Phil says – ‘Known for hosting panel shows and presenting Stargazing Live, Dara Ó Briain has a degree in mathematics and mathematical physics. He also owns a telescope which, on its own, qualifies him to write a book about astronomy.

This book is packed full of information and is written in his typically hilarious style, in fact, it’s hard to read without hearing his voice delivering it. It’s a non-fiction book with a handy index page if you want to find specific information. However, it’s a great book to just read from cover to cover.

This book will be popular with any child with an interest in space and will likely grab the attention of those who don’t. Excerpts could also be used for really engaging whole class activities. A great book to share with your class during space week.’
