Hello to all the Teacher’s Pet friends! I have been very excited to join the TPet team as their KS1 teacher/curriculum advisor. What really makes me extremely happy is knowing that, in this role, I can help so many teachers and children.
I have been a teacher for 13 years and have taught across all the primary key stages, including early years. I have got a lot of experience and seen many different settings, having been in SLTs and supported other schools to develop their practise.
I have a real love for learning and I learn something new every day! I am very knowledgable about the primary curriculum and use this knowledge to get creative when it comes to planning learning. I have interests in early reading, vocabulary development and how children learn as well as many other educational things.
Everything I create will be with the children’s best interests at heart and I always become the child/learner, in fact, I am really like a big kid in many ways! I am have lots of energy and passion for what I do and will always be there to support you, so keep sharing your thoughts.
A bit about me… anyone who knows me says that I am always positive in any situation. I have an optimistic outlook on life, am very sociable and enjoy the journey that life brings. I love organisation and cleaning. I am also very nurturing and believe that you should always look after yourself. I have two very imaginative children, aged 5 and 8, who keep me on my toes and help me to stay in touch with what children really need. I enjoy listening to music, being in nature, reading and baking. Oh and I love stationary (hence being very organised)!
I hope you will continue to enjoy Teacher’s Pet as much as I already do. Happy learning.
