ChatterBots: Create your OWN ChatterBot!

This amazing tool let's you create your very own ChatterBot! Create intelligent and powerful AI bots that will adopt the persona/character of whoever you tell it to! Bring historical figures, story book characters or completely fictitious characters to LIFE!

Simply input your chosen persona/character along with a few details, upload an "avatar", choose a voice from our growing voice library and let our AI do the rest! You'll get a link to your very own, custom ChatterBot!

You'll need our DexBot & ChatterBots membership to use this tool! Visit the memberships page for more info.
This tool will use 1 DexBot credit to generate your custom ChatterBot - you can view and manage your custom ChatterBots here. Normal credit usages apply when chatting with your custom ChatterBot (1 DexBot credit per message + 1 Voice credit when voices are enabled)

Who should the ChatterBot assume the persona of? Provide the name of the person/character and possibly some basic context. Examples: “William Shakespeare”, “George, a 22 year old WW1 Soldier from Stoke on Trent”, “James from the Roald Dahl book James & The Giant Peach”

This is the name that will appear in the ChatterBot window, just a first name is enough. Examples: “William”, “George”, “James”

Optional: Upload a custom avatar for your chatbot, for best results use an close-up image of a face. If no image is chosen the default avatar will be used.

Select Voice

Optional: Choose a voice from our voice library that the ChatterBot will use to read out it’s replies.

Optional: Provide any important facts/dates/figures that you want the ChatterBot to be aware of. For most famous historical figures this isn’t required but if your chatbot is more obscure you can provide additional information here.

You can also use this area to add additional context for the chatbot for example: “George fought in the trenches during WW1 and was present at the famous Christmas Truce of 1914 which is the focus of our interactions with this chatbot.”

You can also let the chatbot know what the intended learning objectives or curriculum goals are and the chatbot will tailor it’s responses accordingly!

Optional: Set the first message from the chatbot. Default: Hello there!

IMPORTANT!

SOLO Account Usage: Solo accounts are for use by one teacher/user in a single class setting only. If you are looking to use our resources or any of our schemes such as WellbeingWednesday, Buddy Bots or THINK Maths in a whole school or multiple class setting then a 'Whole School' membership will be required. This is regardless of how many teachers or users are actually 'delivering' the content. Any content intended for use in a whole school or multiple class setting must be supported by a whole school membership.

NOTE: Access to solo memberships (and any resources or other benefits offered by a membership) is restricted to the person whose name is registered on the account (the name provided at sign up) ONLY - the account and the membership belongs to the named person, it cannot be shared with any other person. Content downloaded using a membership is for the use of the person named on the account only. Resources cannot be downloaded and given via any means to anybody else. Accounts registered to none teaching staff such as business managers, office administrators etc. will be closed without refund upon discovery. If a school wishes to pay for an account for a member of staff, the staff members name must be registered to the account, a school payment method can then be used at the checkout using a different name.
