Children listen carefully and talk about the characters and events. Repeated phrases help pupils join in and build confidence in speaking and listening. Simple retelling tasks support recall of the main events in order. Discussion activities encourage children to describe the tiger and share their own ideas. Vocabulary work focuses on everyday language linked to food, home and feelings. In the EYFS classroom, The Tiger Who Came to Tea EYFS storybook activities promote shared reading, purposeful talk and early comprehension skills.
