Exploring natural spaces through garden EYFS activities helps children develop curiosity about plants, living things and seasonal change within a familiar Let’s Explore theme. Through play-based learning, pupils observe growth, talk about what they notice and take part in simple tasks linked to caring for a garden environment. Garden EYFS activities support communication and language, understanding of the world and early physical development through digging, planting, sorting and creative play. Ideal for Nursery and Reception, these classroom activities encourage children to ask questions, use new vocabulary and make links between their learning and real-life experiences.
