Exploring where we live helps young children make sense of their immediate world, and these houses and homes EYFS activities support learning through discussion, play and observation. Designed for Early Years classrooms, the focus is on helping pupils recognise different types of homes, talk about who lives in them and understand that people’s living spaces can vary. Through practical houses and homes EYFS activities, children are encouraged to share experiences, build vocabulary and develop a sense of belonging as part of the Me and My World topic within the EYFS framework.
