Feelings, emotions and self-care form the focus of KS1 Children’s Mental Health Week activities, helping young pupils learn to talk about how they feel in a safe and supportive way. Classroom learning encourages children to name emotions, recognise worries and understand that everyone feels differently at times. Through KS1 Children’s Mental Health Week activities, pupils practise calming strategies, build confidence and develop positive relationships with others. These activities support Health and Wellbeing by promoting emotional awareness and resilience across EYFS and Key Stage 1.
