KS1 habitats activities help pupils explore where plants and animals live and how they are suited to their environments. In Year 1 and Year 2 science lessons, children identify common habitats such as woodlands, oceans and gardens. Pupils learn how living things depend on specific conditions for food, water and shelter. Regular use of KS1 habitats activities supports observation skills, scientific vocabulary and understanding in line with KS1 National Curriculum expectations for living things and their habitats.
