Happy Homes – Comparing Houses in the UK and Australia

In this comparison activity, your trainee estate agents will be comparing a house in the UK against one in Australia.
The resource includes picture cards for both houses, with clear differences which can be discussed as a class or in small groups. A questions prompt card is provided to help in the discussion. Follow this, children can then write their own house advert for either a UK house or an Australian house, making reference to the differences found in each.

A fantastic activity – why not extend it by creating your own episode of WANTED: Down Under! You could watch footage from an episode available on youtube and then write about the differences using our activity sheets. Will your children prefer the UK or Australia?!

Available in black and white and colour.

Part of our Happy Homes collection of resources, including a PowerPoint, role-play pack, and more. A fun way to teach children all about different houses in the UK and abroad. Let them take on the role of an estate agent, to learn all about homes.
