KS1 Grammar Subordinating Conjunctions Practise Activities

Use these activities to practise or consolidate learning about coordinating conjunctions – when, if, that, because.

Children will identify subordinating conjunctions in sentences by circling words and then write conjunctions into sentences, choosing the correct one from a small selection and rehearsing the sentence out loud to check that it makes sense before writing the word.

These are perfect for teaching grammar or as part of a recall/recap lesson.

Hi, I love these circus resources but would it be possible to have the sheet with the word ‘gotten’ replaced with ‘got’? On the subordination conjunction game there is a sentence ending ‘her dad went to’ which needs to read ‘too’. Thank you and I’m looking forward to more circus themed grammar to add to my new display wall.
