Mapping your Big Winter Walk Activity

Mapping your Big Winter Walk Activity

A lovely activity for children to complete whilst out on their ‘Big Winter Walk’. This resource requires children to think about the directions they take whilst walking and the sights they see by mapping it out from the second they leave their house to returning. This encourages children to take more notice of their surroundings, perhaps they will notice things in the trees or fields which they never took notice of before!

This resource is part of our ‘Big Winter Walk’ resource pack from the exclusive Teacher’s Pet ‘Our Planet with Frankie Morland’ project. The Big Winter Walk is an event inspired by a similar event which takes place each year – The Big Winter Wander, organised by the WWF.

This event encourages children to head outdoors for a walk with a difference – by fundraising and to help WWF protect wildlife in the UK, and around the world. Our resources to support this project, encourage children to head outside and appreciate the beauty available to them.
