SNOT Independent Learning Dangles

SNOT Independent Learning Dangles

A set of 4 classroom dangles to hang from the ceiling or a washing line,  showing children what they should try if they get stuck. Encouraging them to seek out alternatives to simply asking the teacher as soon as they come into difficulty, helping build self-reliance and independent learning and working.

The acronym displayed is as follows:

S – Self – have the confidence to have a go, you might surprise yourself.

N – Neighbour – ask your partner. Can they help you if you’re stuck?

O – Others – who else might be able to help? remember to be polite.

T – Teacher – tried SNO? Still stuck? Time to ask a teacher…

A great way to show children what’s expected of them and a way to get them working independently.

Love tis resource. Could you make it available in Microsoft Word format please as in my school we direct the children to seek answers using books and electronic devices. Also, is it possible for the TP team to make a display banner to complement the resource as I would like to use this as a main display within the classroom?
    Many thanks TP
