The Cheat Book Vol.3 Kamal’s Trust Graph

This Kamal’s Trust Graph activity has been created to use in conjunction with the book, The Cheat Book Vol.3 by RAMZEE.

This analytical reading activity encourages pupils to track how Kamal’s relationship with technology changes throughout the story.
Children select six key events from the novel, place them in chronological order and plot them on a line graph to show Kamal’s changing level of trust in technology.

The task helps pupils identify important moments in the narrative while developing skills in sequencing, interpretation and evidence-based reasoning.
By visually representing character development on a graph, pupils gain a deeper understanding of how Kamal’s views evolve across the story.

Ideal for KS2 English lessons and cross-curricular maths links, this activity combines reading comprehension with data representation and encourages thoughtful discussion about technology, trust and decision-making.
