The Snowy Day Original Story (Year 1 Reading Comprehension)

Another great Teacher’s Pet original story that children will love reading. This wintery story is about a little boy called Tom who is very excited about seeing snow out of his bedroom window. Filled full of sounds and words that the children need to practise reading as well as key grammar and punctuation, the children will learn all about English skills and winter. A truly magical short story for Year 1 readers. There are supporting comprehension questions to use alongside this resource so remember to use them too.

After reading The Snowy Day winter story, develop Year 1 comprehension skills with the reading quiz. Children could answer this independently or work with a partner. Why not go through the answers together to reinforce the skills needed for answering comprehension questions?
