Pack 8 of 12. Part of our Key Stage One spelling resources, this pack contains a list of 10 spellings for the week as well as 5 activities for the children to carry out, to help with their spelling practice.
The words included in the week 8 spelling pack for year 2 are:
improve, sugar, sure, could, half, money, mr, mrs, parents, after
There are currently 12 packs available for year 1 and year 2. Each pack has a set of 1o spellings.
The activities included each week ask the children to:
1 – Write each word in the spelling list forwards and backward
2 – Work out which word in the spelling list is worth the most points, by using the scrabble tiles and simple maths addition work.
3 – Use each word in the spelling list in a sentence.
4 – Create a word pyramid using the words in the spelling list by building each word, adding one letter at a time.
5 – Write each word in the spelling list using 2 different colours – one colour for consonants and another colour for vowels.

Copyright update regarding 'Home Learning Resource Packs'
Our standard terms, conditions and copyright rules restrict the direct sharing of our resources through online portals, shared drives, school websites and social media. We also ask that resources are not printed and shared amongst teachers.
However we realise that due to the current climate and the nature of these home learning packs means that these rules are restricting the main purpose of the packs: helping teachers to provide a structured home learning experience for their classes.
With this in mind, this, and our other 'Home Learning Resource Packs' will be exempt from the above rules. We do however ask that the packs are not made available for PUBLIC download through any means and are only shared with your immediate colleagues and the parents of the children in your school. Where possible, please continue to direct other teachers to our website to download the resources for themselves.
These amended rules will remain in place for the duration of the school closures. Once the closures are at an end our standard copyright rules, terms and conditions will come back into place and we would expect all copies of the resources as to be removed from shared drives, parent/teacher portals and all services such as see-saw etc.
