Year 3 Fractions A Assessment Booklet

Designed to help you assess your Year 3 children’s understanding of Fractions, this assessment booklet provides a variety of questions, following the White Rose Maths steps for Fractions in the Spring Term (Block 3) and all areas of the Mathematics National Curriculum for Fractions.

The assessment booklet is designed to assess children’s understanding of how to:

  • Shapes – same area
  • Area and perimeter
  • Area of a triangle – counting squares
  • Area of a right-angled triangle
  • Area of any triangle
  • Area of a parallelogram
  • Volume – counting cubes
  • Volume of a cuboid

The booklet also includes a comprehensive marking scheme and links to the National Curriculum and White Rose Maths steps for Year 3 Fractions from Spring Block 3.
