Year 5 Decimals Morning Starters

Designed to support you and your Year 5 class in their Decimals work, this maths morning starter PowerPoint provides you with fully editable, daily maths questions for your pupils, covering each of the White Rose Maths steps for Decimals in the Summer Term (Block 3).

These can be carried out as a whole class, working together, small groups or independently.

The PowerPoint provides 10 morning starters (2 weeks, 1 per day) and covers these Decimals steps:

  • Use known facts to add and subtract decimals within 1
  • Complements to 1
  • Add and subtract decimals across 1
  • Add decimals with the same number of decimal places
  • Subtract decimals with the same number of decimal places
