Session 3 - Why Is My Engine Feeling This Way?

Key focus: linking experiences, thoughts and feelings

Pit Stop 3 introduces children to the idea that our feelings are often connected to the things happening around us. Through engaging Situation Stories, discussion activities and practical learning experiences, children begin exploring the concept of emotional triggers and discover that different people can respond differently to the very same situation.

Using the Regulation Road characters, children learn that emotions are personal and that there is no single "right" way to feel. They are encouraged to reflect on what might have changed their own engine and develop the confidence to talk about their experiences using increasingly rich emotional vocabulary.

This carefully planned session helps children make meaningful connections between situations, thoughts and feelings while continuing to build empathy, emotional awareness and communication skills.
