Session 6 - My Regulation Journey

Key focus: personal reflection and growing independence

Pit Stop 6 brings together all of the learning from the Regulation Road programme, giving children the opportunity to reflect on their growing emotional awareness and celebrate the progress they have made. Through meaningful discussions and the engaging My Regulation Road Map activity, children revisit the emotions, body clues, triggers, strategies and support networks they have explored throughout the intervention.

Rather than reaching a finish line, children are encouraged to recognise that emotional regulation is a lifelong journey. They leave the programme with a greater understanding of themselves, increased confidence in talking about their feelings and a personalised toolkit of strategies that can continue supporting them beyond the intervention.

This final session provides a positive conclusion to the programme while helping adults celebrate children's achievements and recognise the progress they have made.

This final session includes detailed adult guidance, printable resources and engaging activities where the focus is not on reaching a finish line. Instead, the children learn to celebrate the progress they have made and recognise that understanding emotions is a lifelong journey.
