Our Maths Foundations project is designed to support you in delivering outstanding primary maths education.

Recognising the importance of strong fundamentals, our resources focus on providing you with the essential building blocks for teaching, learning, and assessing mathematics in primary school.

YOUR GUIDE TO MATHS FOUNDATIONS...

Maths Foundations is our brand new maths project, designed to support you in delivering outstanding maths education.

Recognising the importance of strong fundamentals, our resources focus on providing you with the essential building blocks for teaching, learning, and assessing mathematics in primary school.

With Maths Foundations, you can expect a comprehensive and meticulously crafted resource that empowers you to cultivate a solid mathematical foundation in your pupils. From teaching essentials and engaging activities to assessments and progress tracking, we have curated a wealth of materials that seamlessly align with the national curriculum and White Rose Maths. By using Maths Foundations in your classroom, you can ensure that your pupils develop a deep understanding of mathematical concepts while fostering their critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Maths Foundations is broken down into Autumn, Spring and Summer Terms, with different areas of Maths covered in each term.
Although our layout reflects White Rose Maths, our resources can be used to enhance any Maths scheme that you currently use.

Maths Foundations starts with its core resources...

- Teaching Essential Packs (this includes a key stage progression document, national curriculum targets, White Rose Maths Small Steps, knowledge organiser, vocabulary list and key vocabulary word labels).

- Working Wall Packs (a variety of interactive display materials, specifically designed for each year group and maths area, to meet the curriculum objectives and White Rose Maths steps.

- Block Assessment Booklets and PowerPoints (perfect for the end of each block of Maths teaching, to access your children’s understanding. Each booklet also includes a comprehensive marking scheme and links to the National Curriculum and White Rose Maths steps).

In addition to these core resources, you can also enjoy using our:

- Maths Starter PowerPoints (fully editable)

- Reasoning and Problem Solving Challenge Cards

- Reasoning and Problem Solving PowerPoints

- Activity Sheets (colour and printer friendly)

- COMING SOON * Tuff tray packs (for Year 1 and Year 2 only).

Yes! Our content has all been designed with White Rose Maths in mind. Our maths starters, assessments, reasoning and problem solving and activities, all carefully align with White Rose Maths steps, making them a great addition to your teaching.

Our resources will give you more creativity, give you more variety in your teaching, displays & activities and strengthen your maths knowledge.

Maths Foundations is currently available to Teacher’s Pet individual Ultimate members in its beta phase. If you would like to sample Maths Foundations for your year group, key stage or whole school, and do not have an Ultimate membership, please reach out to support@tpet.co.uk

We will soon be offering download samples of our Maths Foundations content.

If you wish to use Maths Foundations for a key stage or whole school, please ensure that you have an active school membership. Solo ultimate memberships are for a single teacher’s use only. Sharing resources or downloading content for multiple classrooms is not permitted using a solo ultimate membership and will result in your account being suspended with monitoring systems in place to detect this activity.

Maths Foundations is still currently in its beta stage which means that as content evolves and develops behind the scenes, the content will then become available as it is completed by our team.

As of September 2024, all blocks have a Working Wall Pack and a Teaching Essentials Pack available to download.
Many of our blocks now have new content, including: Morning Starters, Activity Sheets, Assessment booklets and PowerPoints as well as Reasoning and Problem Solving challenge cards and PowerPoints.

If you currently cannot see completed content for your upcoming block, our support team are more than happy to try and find more info for you from our resource planning team;
Please note that as a small team of 9 we do aim to get content out in time, however, sometimes other content will have to take precedence for our design team - so we might not always have your specific block in its design stage.

SOLO Account Usage: Solo accounts are for use by one teacher/user in a single class setting only. If you are looking to use our resources or any of our schemes such as WellbeingWednesday, Buddy Bots or THINK Maths in a whole school or multiple class setting then a 'Whole School' membership will be required. This is regardless of how many teachers or users are actually 'delivering' the content. Any content intended for use in a whole school or multiple class setting must be supported by a whole school membership.

NOTE: Access to solo memberships (and any resources or other benefits offered by a membership) is restricted to the person whose name is registered on the account (the name provided at sign up) ONLY - the account and the membership belongs to the named person, it cannot be shared with any other person. Content downloaded using a membership is for the use of the person named on the account only. Resources cannot be downloaded and given via any means to anybody else. Accounts registered to none teaching staff such as business managers, office administrators etc. will be closed without refund upon discovery. If a school wishes to pay for an account for a member of staff, the staff members name must be registered to the account, a school payment method can then be used at the checkout using a different name.
