Hello everyone, I’m Emily, the newest member to the Teacher’s Pet Creative Team, as their new Graduate Graphic Designer!
I first became interested in Art at Madeley High School, before studying an Extended Diploma in Art and Design at Newcastle Under-Lyme College. I then moved to Cheltenham where I studied a Bachelors in Illustration at the University of Gloucestershire.
At present I have just graduated with a Masters in Children’s Book Illustration from Cambridge School of Art, where I have developed a passion for children’s illustration and the education of children. Studying children’s illustration completely changed my life. I met some incredible individuals from around the world and discovered my potential as a children’s artist. The course challenged and developed my knowledge and understanding of the subject.
In November I moved back home to Madeley, due to the Lockdown to complete my Masters. Once I was back home I discovered Teacher’s Pet! An incredible local company that has completely captured my imagination!
I am extremely excited to begin my journey at Teacher’s Pet pursuing my passion for children’s illustration bringing my storytelling background to develop exciting materials that will inspire and educate the next generation.
A little more about me and who I am. My passion is art. Art is my career, my hobby, my life! Any spare time I have is spent on creative projects. I also spend my free time taking lots of long walks with my dog, Mitsy where I like to surround myself with nature.

I also love to read, swim and cook. I love animals! Especially foxes, or anything with lots of personality! I am a family orientated individual and social person, who loves to surround myself with positive friendly people. So, Teacher’s Pet is the perfect environment for me!
Thank you for taking the time to read my blog post and I look forward to sharing my skills and passion with you all!
