Journal and Task Card
This week our amazing journal activity and task card are all about ways in which we can build ourselves up and understand all of our good qualities that we each possess.

Our task card and journal are great together as they are designed to help the children further embed what they have learnt from the animation and digital E-Book.

Our task card is a brillaint resource to use with the whole class, as it explains this weeks theme of self-confidence and self-esteem through a whole class roleplay activity.

Self-Esteem and Self-Confidence Activities
Before jumping in with the activities, it’s best to get the children first understanding what it means to each of them.
Each and every child will be unique in their perspective, both of themselves and of the wider world. And by extension, this means that they will have different expectations of what it means to have confidence.
For some, it might be being able to sing like no one else is in the room, and for others, it might be simply being able to raise their hands and share their opinion.
Utilising our Journal activity to introduce the idea of reflecting on what it means to us and how we see ourselves in a positive light is a great place to start.
The Reflection in Me follows the impactful experience of a child going through the practice of self-love and acceptance.
The film seeks to promote the message of having a positive self-image and unconditional love.
Confidence is a concept that you might struggle with—so how can you improve it?
This animated video follows Pablo as he navigates his confidence and self-esteem in a range of contexts.
By following five simple tips, you’ll see how setting goals, celebrating differences, persevering, and being constructive (rather than destructive) will help you train your brain to be more confident!
