A fun activity which combines elements of creativity and measurements, as the child first designs five firework designs to be cut out and placed within a separate night sky sheet.
Once the fire works are placed using Blu Sticks, the child can use a ruler to measure the distance from the camp fire to the centre of the fire work. Challenges could be set by you to ask the child to find the furthest distance and the closest a firework can travel etc.
This task can also be scaled to higher abilities, as the measurements could then be further converted from CM to Metre using an example scale provided by you to suit.
To save time, an extra sheet is provided where the fireworks are pre-designed which means this task could be used in just one session.
