Marketplace Maths – Change from 50p Activity

This How to Catch a Kangaroo-themed activity places children in the market with Harry helping him sort out his change. The resource features a number of money-related questions which involve working out change from 50p.

Children will work through the questions utilising their coin recognition skills, adding totals together and recording totals using pence.

Using these skills in a meaningful context allows children to meet many objectives in the KS1 maths curriculum.

The resource is available in a number of fonts and comes in both colour and printer-friendly versions. Answer sheets are also provided.

How to Catch a Kangaroo is a BRAND NEW original story by Teacher’s Pet.
